NSU basketball’s third All-American, honored in 1972-73 as a first-team NAIA selection, Wilson’s No. 24 is retired …  Wilson set the Demons’ career mark in points per game at 20.6, a total of 1,548 points in just 75 games … 6-3 guard was the leading scorer in 1971, 1972, and 1973 and was team MVP during those three seasons ...  named 1971 Gulf States Conference Rookie of the Year (20.3 ppg), All-Louisiana in 1972 (21.9) and 1973 … after the 1973 season he was named first-team NAIA District 30 and was chosen for the NAIA All-Star team that toured Israel playing against that country’s Olympic team … Wilson’s highest scoring game came against New Orleans as a senior when he hit for 37, after torching Southern Miss for 36 … also a strong defender … Logansport native who was inducted in 2004 in the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame … on the roster of the Top 100 Demons of the Century chosen in the 2012-13 basketball centennial.
