Bernard was part of two of NSU baseball’s first three winning seasons on record … the Demons went 10-4 in 1927, one of the first known seasons in which NSU played double digit baseball games … the 10 wins were the most until NSU won 12 in 1949 … Demons recorded a total of 15 wins in 1928 and 1929 … played one season of football in 1929, serving as a halfback on a team that went 4-2-3.
