Demon football’s Most Valuable Player in 1965 and 1966, also was a four-year letterman in track and field who set the Gulf States Conference shot put record, winning the GSC crown in 1965 and 1966 … was the GSC’s Most Valuable Lineman as a receiver for the unbeaten 1966 Demons … a team captain for that 9-0 squad … set a school record for single-game receiving yards (187, 6 catches vs. Southeastern Louisiana in 1966, helping a rally to a 27-24 season-ending win)  and ranked on NSU all-time lists for receptions, total yardage, and touchdown catches … scored a touchdown in the 1967 Senior Bowl … selected as one of the Top 100 Demons of the Century on the roster of the Demons’ all-time grid greats picked to kick off the 2007 football centennial.
