Transfer from LSU who played three football and track seasons with the Demons … part of a 1957 Gulf States Conference co-championship in which the Demons went 7-2 … Hennigan had 12 catches for 143 yards as an All-Gulf States member … member of the Top 100 Demons of the Century … in track, part of a record-breaking mile relay (3:21.3) and sprint medley teams in 1955, named  … part of three Gulf States Conference track titles ... joined the first Houston Oilers team in 1960 … scored Oilers’ first touchdown in franchise history before exploding in second season (1,746 receiving yards, AFL record that stood 34 years) … first pro to catch more than 100 passes in a season (101 in ’64) … held records for 200-yard games in a season (three) and most 100-yard games (11) … single-game receiving record of 272 against Boston Patriots in 1961 … all-star five straight seasons and member of All-AFL second team …Minden native is in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
