Dunckelman dotted the year book’s pages many times when discussed among the most notable players of his era … speedster was an accomplished track athlete, winning seven event titles in limited meets during his career … ran in NSU’s first-ever track meet in 1911, winning the 120-yard hurdles (18.4) … won the high hurdles and part of winning relay team in 1912 … 1914 was his best recorded meet in which he won the 100-yard dash, 220-yard dash, the 120 and the 220 hurdles … in football, played from 1911-16 … halfback and end on NSU’s first football title team in 1912 … captained the 1913 team and was part of a 1914 squad that went 4-1-1.
