Consensus All-America cornerback in 1998 was runner-up for the Buck Buchanan Award voted to the top defensive player in the FCS (then Division I-AA) … 1998 Southland Player of the Year and All-Louisiana Defensive Player of the Year … scored 5 TDs on returns (2 interceptions, 2 punts, 1 fumble) as the Demons reached national semifinals … two year first-team All-Southland as NSU won two straight conference titles and made playoffs in 1997, 1998 … a 1999 NFL Draft fifth-round pick (Jets) … became a star in the Arena Football League in Dallas (2002-08), earning 12 Defensive Player of the Game awards and a 2007 All-Arena League second-team honor for the Desperados (448 tackles, 29 interceptions, 7 TDs in 106 games) after spending time with six NFL teams, including twice with the Cowboys  and one season with the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos … shares school record for pass breakups (44) with Terrence McGee, owns single-season mark with 21 as a senior in 1998… chosen among the Top 100 Demon Football Players selected in the 2007 centennial celebration.
