1975-78

One of the original 13 recipients of state’s first athletic scholarships for women at NSU in 1975 ... a high-scoring guard at NSU until spending her senior season at  LSU, she was a second-round draft pick and played two years in the Women’s Basketball League (1980, 1981) ... there are no statistics available for her time in the WBL or at LSU … at Northwestern (1975-78), she scored 1,906 points (fifth all-time) prior to 3-pointers or the smaller women’s ball … averaged 20.9 ppg in her 91-game career ... has the third, fourth and fifth-ranked single-season scoring totals in Lady Demon history , three-season career at NSU, topped by 25.7 as a junior ... it’s the highest career scoring average by a three-year player and higher than any four-year player, and second in school history behind Pam Hudson’s two-year 24.8 average ... shot 46.1% from the field, and still holds NSU records for FGs made (854) and attempted (1,852) and had 13 30-point plus games, including 39-point games on back-to-back nights vs. NLU and Louisiana Tech in February of 1976 … a two-time state MVP at DeRidder HS ... was a 1995 LHSAA Hall of Fame inductee.
