N-Club Hall of Fame
A walk-on who set the career receptions record (105, now 6th) and ranks fourth in receiving yardage (1,810, was second), Turner was first-team All-Southland for the 1988 SLC champions … a sixth-round 1989 NFL Draft pick, the Mansfield native played nine NFL seasons (1989-93 with the Saints, also with the Colts 1994-95, and the Ravens 1996, 1998) … in 114 games had 281 catches for 3,805 yards and 31 TDs, including a 927-yard, 64-reception, 8-TD career year with Bobby Hebert throwing to him in 1991 … chosen among the Top 100 Demon Football Players selected in the 2007 centennial celebration.
