Williams … was a physical education professor starting in 1962, becoming an assistant professor and eventually gaining tenure in 1977 … retired from teaching in 1978 and became coordinator of plant maintenance until 1987 … before NSU, started the Coushatta High football team in 1952, going 37-3 in his last four seasons … went 15-5 at Winnfield High in two seasons … as a college football player at La. Tech, was an all-conference fullback.
