After an NCAA track relay title and two seasons of football at NSU, Duper went on to more heightened success in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins … three-time Pro Bowler in 11 seasons as he teamed with QB Dan Marino and WR Mark Clayton … four 1,000-yard seasons topped by 1,313 (11 TDs) in 1986 and 1,306 (8 TDs) in 1984 … 511 catches, 8.869 yards and 59 TDs … inducted into Miami Dolphins Walk of Fame … at NSU, part of 1981 national champion 4x100 relay … part of an 8-3 team under coach A.L. Williams and QB Bobby Hebert … caught three TD passes in  his final game, then was a second-round NFL Draft pick the following April … Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame inductee in 2005 … on the Top 100 Demons of the Century roster chosen in the 2007 football centennial celebration.
