While he was being recruited by Demons coach Scott Stoker, he promised Stoker he would break the NSU career receiving record. Entering his fourth year as a starter, he's on track to shatter it. His tremendous hands and ability to run great routes have long since been established, along with a knack for making the clutch catches. In his junior year, Doyle showed the heart of a lion. He played despite two painful fractured shins, but led the team in receiving. He had offseason surgery and is on track for a return to the form of his sophomore season, when he had 40 receptions. At Wossman High School, he was coached by former Philadelphia Eagles WR Charlie Smith. Doyle has caught a pass in 33 of 34 career games, including the last 22 straight.

Record Watch: Doyle has 94 career career receptions (6th all-time), needs six to break the school career mark of 99. Doyle has 1,360 career receiving yards (10th all-time), needs 864 to break the school career mark of 2,223 by Pat Palmer (1994-97).

2005: Led the team with 27 catches and ranked second on the squad with 242 receiving yards...Averaged 9.0 yards per catch and 24.2 receiving yards per game...Had a season-high six catches for 41 yards at McNeese...had four catches for 49 yards against North Dakota State...Three catches for 20 yards at Louisiana-Monroe...Three catches for 36 yards versus Northeastern and three catches for 25 yards against Nicholls State.

2004: Had 40 catches and 631 receiving yards, along with 6 TDs, to lead the Demons in those categories...Caught at least two passes in all 12 games...Topped team in receptions in seven games and in receiving yards in six games...Had a nifty 17-yard TD catch to record the Demons' only score in a season-opening 14-7 loss at Louisiana-Lafayette...Led NSU with three catches and 60 yards receiving in 28-20 win at Jackson State...Topped team with four receptions (36 yards) in rout of Texas Southern...Led with six snags and 75 yards in 40-35 win over Appalachian State, including a 16-yard TD reception from Connor Morel to build a 16-0 lead...Shared team high with two catches (48 yards), including a 32-yard strike from Davon Vinson 5:11 before halftime for a 42-0 lead in 63-14 rout of Oklahoma Panhandle...Led Demons with 56 receiving yards (2 catches) at Nicholls State...Career-best totals of seven catches and 115 yards, with two TDs, in blowout of Texas State on Nov. 6...TDs were 8 and 30 yards, from Davon Vinson...Led team again with two catches and 39 yards receiving in 45-27 win over No. 3 Sam Houston...Pace-setting totals of six receptions and 98 yards in title-clinching 37-16 win at Stephen F. Austin...Had a key 21-yard run on a reverse in that game to help set up Demons' first TD in incredible third-quarter.

2003: Averaged 18.0 yards per catch, finishing second on the team with 27 receptions...Breakthrough game was in week two at Tulane, when he had 5 catches for 104 yards, notably a 53-yarder with a sensational catch moments after fumbling and recovering a punt inside the 5...That 100-yard receiving game was the first for the Demons since 1966, when Steve Gaspard had 121 yards on 4 catches against La. Tech...2 catches for 39, including a 26-yard TD from Davon Vinson, vs. Delaware State...40-yard TD in first quarter of 87-27 blasting of Southeastern Louisiana...48-yard catch at Texas State in Demons' 49-19 win...4 catches for 46 yards against Nicholls State...Led Demons with 4 catches for 56 yard at Sam Houston...Topped team again a week later, with 3 catches for 61 yards, including an unbelievable leaping grab in traffic of a 40-yarder from Davon Vinson for a TD late in the third quarter to give the Demons a 9-6 lead at No. 1-ranked McNeese State.

High School: Despite not playing his senior season, his career totals were 75 catches for 1,583 yards and 12 TDs...He was on the Monroe News-Star's Top 13 Players in northeast Louisiana and made the All-Northeastern Louisiana team while earning All-District honors as a receiver and punt returner...Made 40 catches for 835 yards and 4 touchdowns as a junior while making two interceptions in the defensive backfield...As a sophomore he caught 29 passes for 615 yards and 8 touchdowns...He had 6 receptions for 133 yards as a freshman...Coached by former pro star Charlie Smith along with Grambling State great Dale Zimmerman...In basketball, he average 15 points in his sophomore year and 18 as a junior.
