A very productive scatback, Skidmore enters the preseason as the starting tailback. Ha has been quite effective as a third-down back and as a kick returner in his career, and also has a pair of 100-yard rushing games to his credit. He has extremely quick feet and elusiveness, and is an outstanding special teams player. He was the MVP of the 2006 Joe Delaney Bowl spring game.

2005: Led the Southland Conference in kick returns with a 24.6 yards per return average after returning 11 kicks for a total of 271 yards...Had a long return of 63 yards at Louisiana-Lafayette in a game which he returned four kicks for 128 yards for a 32.0 average...Sixth on the team in rushing with 72 yards on 13 carries while playing in all 10 games...Second on the team with a 5.5 ypc average...Scored one touchdown...Caught three passes for nine yards...High rushing game was a 33 yards outing on just three carries with a touchdown against Stephen F. Austin in a nationally televised games.

2004: Fourth-leading rusher with 280 yards, 4.4 ypc, and a pair of TDs...Had 10 carries for 36 yards vs. Texas Southern...Eight carries for 50 yards in win over Appalachian State...Career best 144 yards on 28 carries with TDs of 2 and 16 yards against Oklahoma Panhandle... 11 carries, 36 yards in 44-7 win over Texas State.

2003: Third on the team with 393 yards rushing...A nice 4.9 average per carry..Breakout game vs. Delaware State in third week, with 87 yards on 9 carries, including a 4-yard TD, first of his career...Proved his mettle in week 4 with 53 yards on 13 carries in 14-10 win at La.-Monroe...10 runs, 42 yards with a 1-yards TD vs. Oklahoma Panhandle...103 yards rushing on 14 carries, including a 15-yard TD, in the 87-27 shellacking of Southeastern...28 yards on 5 carries at Sam Houston State...34 yards on 12 carries vs. Stephen F. Austin.
