2009 PRESEASON ALL-SLC SECOND TEAM
Delcambre takes over the responsibility of lining up the defense in the new 4-3-4 scheme, and it plays to his strong leadership abilities. He is a very physical player who excels with his “hat and hands” and will be a focal figure on defense.
2008-09 Honors: NSU athletic honor roll, spring (3.00-3.49)... SLC Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2008: Finished fourth on the team with 69 tackles and third with 47 solos… had 2.5 sacks, one pass breakup and five quarterback hurries… played in all 12 games… tied a career-high with 12 stops against Nicholls, eight of those being solo stops… finished with nine tackles at Baylor and at home against McNeese State… had seven tackles each against Texas A&M-Commerce and at Southeastern Louisiana.
2007: Second on the team with 75 tackles, 44 of those solo... second on the squad with eight tackles for loss... one sack and one interception... played in all 11 games... finished the year with two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble... collected 10 or more tackles in two games... career-high 12 stops at Sam Houston State in a game where he forced and recovered a fumble and returned an inteception for a touchdown... had 11 tackles at Northeastern.
2006: Tied for seventh on the team with 38 tackles… recovered a team-high four fumbles… three tackles for a loss and a pass break up… career-best seven tackles at Stephen F. Austin to close out the season… recovered two fumbles to go along with six tackles at Nicholls State… had six stops against Delaware State
2005: Redshirted.
Delcambre in High School: All-State 5A, Academic All-State honorable mention, All-Acadiana, and All-Teche his senior season… two-time first-team All-District 3-5A… had 125 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions and one returned for a touchdown, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries his senior season… team made the playoffs his senior season… four-year letterman in football… two-year letterman in track and powerlifting.
Delcambre's Personal: Born June 18, 1986… son of Connie and Wendel Bourque… has four brothers, Brody, Bryson, Trent and Derrick, and two sisters, Courtney and Kelsey… full name is Blake James Delcambre… majoring in general studies with a minor in social science… scheduled to graduate in December and hopes to return to his high school alma mater to teach and coach.
