Summary

Biography

An explosive player who seems to be on the brink of stardom if he can become more consistent, Miller has intrigued the coaching staff since his arrival. He is a prime candidate to step in as the new punt return specialist and also will continue to be a dangerous rusher on punts and kicks, blocking a pair last year, one for a safety at McNeese. Nicknamed "Crazylegs" by Coach Scott Stoker and also known as "C-Miller" he is a wild card in the deep receiving corps.

2005: Fifth on the team with nine catches and third with 153 yards receiving...Returned two punts for 26 yards anf four kickoffs for 96 yards...Made four catches for 58 yards at Louisiana-Lafayette...Made two catches for 16 yards against North Dakota State...Also returned two kicks for 49 yards with a long of 30.

2004: Made four catches for 71 yards (17.8 average) in his redshirt freshman season (long of 27) and returned six punts for 27 yards, with a long of 13...Two catches for 46 yards against Oklahoma Panhandle...15-yarder against Texas State in 44-7 win.

2003: Redshirted.

High School: All-State honorable mention pick and a first-team All-East Texas defensive back for Coach Finis Vanover...First-team All-district on defense, offense and as a kick returner...Also a standout track performer, he had a 6-6 high jump, a 39.9 triple jump and a 14.98 110 meter hurdles time...Was Diboll's football MVP, playing quarterback and defensive back...At quarterback he threw 1,187 yards and 12 TDs and rushed for 636 yards and 5 TDs...Led the Lumberjacks in tackles with 72, in solo tackles with 22 and in fumble recoveries with 4...Four-sport letterman (football 3, basketball 2, track 3, baseball 2) and made all-district in basketball as a junior.

Personal: 21 years old, born 7/8/85...Grandson of Libby Miller...One brother, Greg (23)...Plans to major in business with hopes of running his own hotel...His cousin, Tameshia Miller, is an outstanding long jumper and hurdler for the Lady Demon track team...She won the SLC Indoor 60m hurdles title and was an NCAA Regional Outdoors qualifier last spring in both events.
