2019 Season: Finished his career as Northwestern State's record holder in 18 single-game, season or career categories ... stated all 12 games as a senior ... set NSU's career passing yardage record by throwing for 333 yards in a season-ending loss to Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 21 ... ended his career with 6,226 career passing yards ... became NSU's single-season passing yardage record-holder by throwing for 306 yards at Sam Houston State on Nov. 16 and added the game-winning score with his first career touchdown run ... earned SLC Offensive Player of the Week honors after the win against Sam Houston State, throwing for 306 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for the winning score ... tied a season high with four touchdown passes and racked up 289 yards in a Nov. 9 win against Lamar ...  hit Quan Shorts with the game-winning, 1-yard touchdown pass in a 44-41 overtime win at Incarnate Word on Oct. 26, a game in which he found Tanner Ash for a touchdown and Akile Davis for a tying 2-point conversion late in the fourth quarter ... finished a run of three straight 300-yard passing games aaginst Central Arkansas, throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns ... tied his season high with 387 yards and tossed a then-season-best four touchdown passes in a 45-35 loss at Nicholls on Oct. 12 ... riddled Southeastern Louisiana's secondary for 333 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-27 loss to the Lions on Sept. 28 ... tossed two touchdown passes to Akile Davis at Houston Baptist on Sept. 21, marking his third multiple-TD pass game of the season ... connected with Quan Shorts on a 17-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter at No. 4 LSU on Sept. 14 for the Demons' first touchdown against the Tigers in 12 meetings ... added another touchdown pass to tight end David Fitzwater and finished with 225 passing yards against the Tigers ...  established school single-game records for completions (43) and attempts (62) while throwing for the second-most yards (387) in school history in a 42-20 loss at UT Martin on Aug. 29 ... added three touchdown passes and led Northwestern State in rushing yards (45) against the Skyhawks.

2018 Season: Honorable mention All-Southland Conference and All-Louisiana  pick … played and started nine games ... threw for 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions … threw for single-game program records in passing yards (474) and touchdowns (6) in a shootout win at Lamar … that effort won him SLC Offensive Player of the Week as well as LSWA Offensive Player of the week and STATS LLC ,  … matched his program record with six more touchdowns at Abilene Christian … finished in the top three in single-season school history in attempts (328), completions (199), yards (2,639), touchdowns (26) and points responsible for (158) … is No. 1 in single-season passer rating (148.32) and passing yards per game (293.22) … has three of the top six single-game passing-yard performances in school history (474 vs. Lamar, 367 vs. Abilene Christian and 351 against Sam Houston State) … tied for the most points responsible for in a game with 36 (twice) … had four touchdown passes each in wins vs. McNeese and Grambling … honored as the LSWA Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the Grambling effort … completed 14 consecutive passes in a win over Grambling, second most in school history … had four multi-interception games, including three each against ACU and Stephen F. Austin … started his NSU career with a school-record 143 passes without throwing an interception… part of an offense that broke or tied 20 school offensive records.
    
Prior to NSU: Two-year letterman for current Northwestern State offensive coordinator Brad Smiley at Trinity Valley Community College … threw for 1,966 yards and 19 touchdowns in seven games as a sophomore, helping Trinity Valley win the Heart of Texas Bowl … as a freshman, saw action in seven games, completing 61.3 percent of his passes (46-for-75) for 690 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception … in two seasons at TVCC, produced a 28-to-7 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
    
High School: Three-year letterman at Navasota High School was the Texas Class 4A Built Ford Tough Player of the Year … second-team all-state and team captain as a senior when he threw for 4,000 yards and 60 touchdowns, completing 64 percent of his passes … as a junior, set the Texas state record with 71 touchdown passes, leading Navasota to a 16-0 season and the Class 4A Division I state title … completed 67 percent of his passes and threw for 5,400 yards as a junior and was named Built Ford Tough Player of the Game in the state title game … first-team Junior All-American, first-team all-state and all-district as a junior … as a sophomore earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-district honors and was Navasota’s offensive MVP and Co-Newcomer of the Year after throwing for 2,900 yards and 29 touchdowns, completing 61 percent of his passes … earned Greater Houston Area Player of the Week honors … four-year baseball letterman was a two-time, first-team all-district pick, a second-team all-state selection as a senior and was the team Pitcher of the Year as a junior.
    
Personal: Son of Nancy and Joey Eppler … has one brother, Tyler, a pitcher formerly in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization who is now in Japan … majoring in business with a 3.7 GPA … aims to work in insurance and eventually open up his own shop.
