2019 Season: Appeared in 12 games, starting eight, in his final season ... had a pair of double-figure tackle games (13 at UIW; 10 vs. Southeastern Louisiana) and finished the season as NSU's third-leading tackler ... played his best in a four-game stretch from Sept. 28-Oct. 26, totaling 40 tackles and two pass breakups ... did not have fewer than eight tackles in that stretch ... tied a then-career high with seven tackles against Midwestern State on Sept. 7. 

2018 Season: Appeared in all 11 games, making one start against Central Arkansas … finished eighth on the team in tackles with 39, including career highs of seven each in wins against Lamar and Stephen F. Austin … had 2.5 tackles for loss (all against McNeese), including 0.5 sack in the double overtime victory over the nationally ranked Cowboys … had five tackles and a quarterback hurry against Texas A&M.

2017 Season: Appeared in 11 games as a sophomore … made six total tackles, three solo … season-high two tackles vs. UCA … made single tackles Lamar, SLU, Nicholls and McNeese.

2016 Season: Appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman … posted season bests with two tackles at Lamar (Oct. 15) and at Abilene Christian (Nov. 5) … both tackles against ACU were solos … made his collegiate debut at Baylor (Sept. 2) … recorded his first tackle at Central Arkansas (Sept. 17).
    
2015 Season: Redshirted.
    
High School: Linebacker that had at least 90 tackles all four seasons and twice topped 100 (134 as a sophomore and 121 as a junior) … three-time all-district, including two all-district newcomer of the year awards … two-time All-East Texas … 42 tackles for loss, including 10 sacks, combined in last two seasons … played fullback his first two seasons, combining for more than 1,000 yards … led Van to the playoffs and a district championship with a 10-1 season as a senior … graduated with a 3.5 GPA … junior class president.
    
Personal: Son of Jim and Colleen Borgeson … one younger brother Cade … carries a 3.3 GPA in business administration.
