High School: Three-year letterman for coach Brian Bell’s Cougars … named one of the top 25 prospects in Central Texas … broke his own school record for single-season rushing yards as a senior, totaling 2,117 yards on 304 carries with 26 touchdowns … owns the school single-game record for rushing touchdowns with five, something he did twice … added 188 yards on 18 catches with one touchdown and returned a pair of kicks for touchdowns as China Spring went 6-6 and reached the second round of the state playoffs … totaled six touchdowns – four rushing, one receiving and one kick return – in China Spring’s 48-15 first-round win against Benbrook … was chosen to participate in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl but declined the invitation … honorable mention all-district selection as a junior in which he set a then-school record with 1,559 rushing yards on 220 carries … as a sophomore, rushed 104 times for 670 yards and six touchdowns as China Spring went 13-2 and reached the state semifinals … two-year track and field letterman also spent four years in the school choir.
