2019 Season: Appeared in 10 games, primarily on special teams … returned one kick for seven yards and fair caught another in his college debut at UT Martin on Aug. 29.

2018 Season: Redshirted, did not play.
    
High School: Four-year starting quarterback for coaches Lee Doty and Corwyn Alredge at St. Mary’s … as a senior was named LSL and LFCA Offensive Player of the Year, first-team all-district and all-state after throwing for 1,941 yards, rushing for 1,207 yards and accounting for 46 total touchdowns … St. Mary’s reached the state semifinals in his senior year … as a junior, first-team All-Cenla, all-district and honorable mention LSWA all-state after throwing for 1,156 yards, rushing for 413 more and accounting for 23 touchdowns … as a sophomore, honorable mention all-state, first-team all-district and All-Cenla after throwing for 1,586 yards, running for 711 yards and accounting for 38 touchdowns … second-team all-district pick as a freshman … helped St. Mary’s to a 40-11 record in four seasons and a state runner-up finish his sophomore year … five-year basketball  letterman is a three-time all-district selection … Academic All-State selection and National Honor Society member has a 3.97 grade point average.
    
Personal: Born Feb. 15, 2000 ... son of Amy and the late John Howell … one brother, Thomas, who plays basketball at ULM … married to Cayman and the couple has one daughter, Sutton Elizabeth ... nursing major with a 3.8 GPA ... aims to become a nurse anesthetist … life’s ambition is “to live a humble life glorifying God and taking care of my family.”
