2019 Season: Veteran running back saw his production increase as the season progressed … averaged 5.3 yards per carry in his final three games (181 yards, 34 carries) and finished as NSU’s second-leading rusher… ran for 62 yards and had a key 17-yard carry to close out the Demons’ 31-28 win at Sam Houston State on Nov. 16 … ripped off a 40-yard touchdown run, the longest rush by a Demon in 2019, and finished with a season-best 84 yards in a 34-13 win against Lamar on Nov. 9 … ran for 60 yards and a touchdown and tied a season-best with three catches in NSU’s 44-41 overtime win at UIW … reliable receiver grabbed 13 passes out of the backfield with a 24-yard catch at Houston Baptist on Sept. 21 … led the Demons in rushing yards in four games and shared the lead in another.
2018 Season: A great change-of-pace back, Anderson was the second-leading rusher with 363 yards and three touchdowns … appeared in all 11 games, starting one .. had career highs in attempts and yards with 19 carries for 88 yards, including a touchdown, in the win over rival Stephen F. Austin … scored from 12 yards out against nationally ranked Nicholls … 3-yard touchdown run started the near comeback at ACU … had three games of at least 40 yards rushing, and had four others with at least 20 yards ... added 10 catches for 64 yards.
2017 Season: Third-leading rusher as a freshman with 207 yards on 52 carries and a touchdown … appeared in nine games … scored the touchdown (3 yards) against Nicholls, where he added career highs of 41 rushing yards on 11 attempts … four other games of at least 20 yards, including 34 against Abilene Christian, 33 each against McNeese and SFA and 21 yards against Houston Baptist … added 59 receiving yards on five catches … longest plays included a 29-yard rush vs. ACU and 24-yard reception vs. SFA.
High School: Four-year letterman for coaches Donald Clark and Jack Phillips … named the top running back at the Red Stick Army Bowl and participated in the Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Classic … as a senior, ran for 663 yards on 80 carries and one touchdown … added 12 receptions for 115 yards while earning all-district honors … as a junior, rushed for 1,315 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning second-team all-district acclaim … three-year letterman in track for Clark and two-year basketball letterman for coach Harvey Adger … named Mr. Senior at Glen Oaks … member of the Art Club … honor roll student had a 3.0 GPA.
Personal: Son of Shirley and Stadford Anderson … one sister, Erica … majoring in communication with a sports leisure minor … aims to play in the NFL and build a top-notch training complex for elite athletes as well as the general public … life’s ambition is to “be successful and to live life without stressing about anything.”
