SLC Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll
2010: Missed the entire season due to an injury.
2009: Played in seven games starting five... graded out at 80 percent or better in three games and averaged 71 percent for the season... finished with 16 knockdown blocks... had a season-high grade of 82 percent at Sam Houston State... missed three games at the beginning of the season (Grambling being the first one) due to illness, a life-threatening bout with pneumonia.
2008: Averaged 59 percent in eight games played… played a total of 327 snaps and had seven knockdown blocks… graded out at a season-high 74 percent in 66 snaps with three KO blocks against Cal Poly.
Hernandez in High School: First-team all-academic, second-team all-state as a senior ... first-team all-district ... 5A Texas Football.com All-Region III ... team captain for head coach Walt Beasley ... team's offensive line MVP for his position coach, Ken Janek ... helped Humble go 9-3 and reach the second round of the Texas Class 5A Division I playoffs ... team went 7-3 in his junior year, when he was first-team all-academic and second-team all-district at center ... as a sophomore, Humble went 6-4 and reached the second round of the 5A-Division 2 playoffs ... he was second-team all-district and first-team All-Academic at guard.
Hernandez's Personal: Born Sept. 23, 1989… son of Carmen Bujanda… his cousin, Bara Reyna, works at NASA… majoring in computer information systems.
