High School: Four-year letterman for head coach Eddie May’s Bears … named first-team all-state and the Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year in a record-breaking senior season in which he established the school single-season record for rushing yards (2,867) and single-game records for most carries (57), yards (485) and touchdowns (8, twice) … averaged five touchdowns per game as a senior for a 6-4 DeKalb squad … as a junior wide receiver he was named first-team all-district and third-team all-area … established a school single-game record with 174 receiving yards … second-team all-district as a cornerback and as a wide receiver as a sophomore … second-team all-district corner as a freshman … helped lead DeKalb to playoff appearances as a sophomore and junior … has lettered three years in track and field, reaching the regionals in five events as a junior … battled through a sprained ankle to qualify for the state meet in the 100 meters as a junior … has lettered in basketball as well … has a 3.1 grade point average.
