2018 Outdoor Season: Competed in shot put, discus, and hammer throws in 10 meets during the season, earning 21 total top-10 finishes across the three events…best finishes in the shot put came in back-to-back meets as he took second at the SFA Skecher’s Performance Carl Knight Invitational (56-2 ¾) and ULM Warhawk Invitational (56-1 ¼)…placed third at both the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (55-7 ½) and the McNeese Last Chance (58-1 ¾)…earned fourth at the MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge (53-7 ½) and Texas Relays (54-5 ¼)…posted a mark of 56-7 ½ at the NCAA East Preliminary…highest finish is discus was second at both the MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge (162-1 ¼) and LSU Alumni Gold (176-3)…took bronze on three different occasions at ULM Warhawk Invitational (162-9), Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (172-1), and McNeese Last Chance (173-9)…placed fourth at SFA Skecher’s Performance Carl Knight Invitational (155-4) and fifth at the TCU Invitational (172-1)…posted a mark of 162-9 at the NCAA East Preliminary…competed in hammer throw at four meets with top-10 placements each time…highest finish was sixth at MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge (160-3) and best mark was 163-5 at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational where he finished fourth overall
2018 Indoor Season: Earned four top-10 finishes in the shot put and five in the weight throw in five competitions…posted a career best 55-4 ½ at the Pittsburg State Invitational earning a fifth overall finish at the meet…took the silver at the LSU Bayou Bengal with a mark of 54-6 ¾ and a bronze at the TAMU Ted Nelson Invitational (53-11)…finishes sixth at the SLC Championships with a mark of 53-3 ¾…had top-10 finishes in each meet in the weight throw event with a career and season best mark of 60-8 ¾ coming in the UA Tyson Invitational, earning a seventh place finish…took the bronze in the SLC Championships with a distance of 59-3…finished seventh at the TAMU Ted Nelson Invitational (56-1 ¼), ninth at the Pittsburg State Invitational (57-1), and sixth at the LSU Bayou Bengal (58-10 ¼).
2017 Outdoor Season: Had 10 top-five finishes in the shot put...won the Texas A&M Commerce East Texas Invitational with a winning mark of 54-7 ½...finished second in the LSU Alumni Gold (57-10 ½)...also finished second in the TCU Invitational (56-2 ½)...finished second in the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational (54-4 ¾)..also finished second in the Baylor Invitational (56-3 ¾)...finished second in the University of Texas at Austin Bobby Lane Invitational with a team season best performance of 58-2 ½...finished second in the McNeese Cowboy Relays (55-9 ¾)...finished third in the SLC Outdoor Championships (56-2 ½)...finished third in the Texas Relays (56-8 ½)...finished third in the University of Houston Tom Tellez Invitational (56-2 ½)...competed in the NCAA East Preliminary, finishing 31

2017 Indoor Season: Competed in the shot put and the weight throw...had four top-five finishes in the shot put...finished second in the UAB Vulcan Invite (52-7 ½)...finished fourth in the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational (53-2 ¾)...finished fifth in the SLC Indoor Championships and had a team season high throw of 54-11 ½...also finished fifth in the Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic (54-9 ¼)...had two top-five finishes in the weight throw...won the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational with a team season best performance of 57-1 ½...finished second in the UAB Vulcan Invite (56-7 ¼).
Prior to NSU: Attended Coffeyville Community College in Kansas … specialized in throw, namely the shot put, discus and hammer throw … placed second in the shot put (52-10) at the indoor 2016 NJCAA Region VI Championships … qualified for the 2016 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, where he placed 10
th in the weight throw (55-6 ½) and 12
th in the shot put (51-3) … qualified for the 2016 NJCAA Outdoor National Championships, where he finished second in the discus throw (157-2) and fourth in the shot put (52-10).
High School: A 2014 graduate from Normal West Community High School … lettered in track and field, football and wrestling … was a member of the student council.
Personal: Son of Jenise and Marcus Tucker … born on March 19, 1996 … has three brothers Malik, Hamarkius and Kemare Govan … majoring in psychology with plans to become a high school coach and a special education teacher or counselor after graduating … life’s ambition is to influence the lives of children.
