Tech, Nicholls and HBU … career-high six tackles against Grambling … five tackles against La. Tech and four tackles against four different SLC opponents … 10 quarterback hurries …forced a fumble against La. Tech … blocked a field goal against McNeese.

Prior to NSU: Two-year starter at defensive end for Tyler Junior College … as a sophomore, recorded 36 tackles and six sacks (45 yards lost) … added a fumble recovery and another five tackles for loss … season-high eight tackles vs. New Mexico Military … recorded two sacks twice vs. Cisco and New Mexico Military … as a freshman, collected eight sacks and 35 tackles … career-high nine tackles vs. Kilgore … career-high 3.5 sacks vs. Navarro.

High School: First-team all-district as a senior at defensive end … lettered in track and field and threw the shot put.

Personal: Son of Silver Amaliri … three siblings … mom is a detention officer … kinesiology major who aspires to be a personal trainer … nicknamed “Obi.”
