Talented and explosive tackle who plays flashes of ability to play at the next level. Maricle has earned honor roll status academically at Northwestern. When he wasn't injured, he was a starter for most of the 2004 season, but did not take part in spring practice (disciplinary reasons) and is not listed on the opening depth chart for fall practice. If he continues to impress coaching staff with his performance and resumes his status from last season, he could be a key addition to the Waddell Wall.

Honors: SLC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, 2003; Athletic Honor Roll, silver (GPA between 3.0-3.49), Fall 2003; Gold (3.50-3.99), Spring 2005.

2004: Opened season with two pins and 75 percent grade on 54 snaps at Louisiana-Lafayette...Did not play a significant role in the next three games but resumed action after an injury with a fine 81 percent grade on 44 snaps against Oklahoma Panhandle...79 percent on 40 vs McNeese State...unable to play in the next two games, both losses, but resumed action with 79 percent grade on 40 plays in rout of Texas State...86 percent grade on 14 snaps in 45-27 win over Sam Houston State as Demons ran for 466 yards...Season-best 89 percent grade on 33 snaps in 37-16 win at Stephen F. Austin.

2003: Got first significant action in second week at Tulane, grading 82% on 10 snaps...Got in 33 plays the next week in 43-6 rout of Delaware State, grading 77%...Most extensive action came late in the season and he responded with a 76% grade on 48 snaps, notching 2 pins, at Sam Houston State.

High school: Played for Coach Scott Stoker's father, Butch Stoker, at Alexandria Senior High...All-State Class 4A offensive tackle...Helped team win two district titles and make three playoff trips along with earning two Top 10 Class 4A state rankings in his four-year career...Also lettered in powerlifting and track & field...Member of yearbook staff and a student worker at ASH.
