A very athletic and hard-nosed player, Perry is a second-year starter at safety. He is one of the faster players on the team.
2007: Compiled 36 tackles, 30 solos, in 11 games... had 3.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks to go along with one interception, five pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries... had eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks against Southeastern Louisiana... six tackles, all solo, with a tackle for loss and interception at Texas Tech.
2006: Played in eight games recording 18 tackles with a pass break-up and a fumble recovery... had a career-high five stops at Kansas (Sept. 2) to open the season and also at Stephen F. Austin in the season finale.
2005: Recorded 13 tackles in seven games played... had a sack and a tackle for a loss to go along with one inteception and a fumble recovery... had three hits against Louisiana-Monroe and Texas State... picked off his first career pass at Louisiana-Lafayette.
2004: Redshirted.
Perry in High School: 5A All-State for Special Teams his senior season... first-team All-district at Wide Receiver for his 40 catch, 766 yard, 5 TD performance his senior season... participated in Junior Olympics All-Star game in conjunction with Super Bowl XXXVIII... three-year letterman in football... two-year letterman in track & field.
