Hundley had a tremendous spring and has continued to progress through summer workouts. After recovering from a midseason injury last season, he finished 2008 with a spectacular game at Stephen F. Austin. He appears poised to have a very strong senior season.
2008-09 Honors: NSU athletic honor roll, fall (3.5-3.99) and spring (4.0)... SLC Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2008: Threw for 1,307 yards and rushed for another 246… connected on 112 of 205 passes for a 54.6 percentage and threw just three interceptions… tossed eight touchdown passes… averaged 145.2 yards passing per game… rushed for four TDs… averaged 27.3 yards rushing per game… had two games where he threw for more than 200 yards… completed 29 of 44 passes for 294 yards at Stephen F. Austin in the season finale… connected on 13 of 30 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown against Cal Poly… threw two TD passes each against Grambling and Nicholls State… rushed for 83 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown against Texas A&M-Commerce in the season opener… played in nine games.
Prior to NSU: Appeared in two games in the 2006 season for Louisiana-Lafayette as the Cajuns back-up quarterback... played 11 snaps against North Carolina A&T and 12 snaps vs. Eastern Michigan.
Hundley in High School: Ranked No. 1 in Louisiana and No. 28 nationally on the Rivals.com recruiting service listings of “pro-style” quarterbacks...Completed 142-of-249 passes (57 percent) for 1,845 yards and 24 touchdowns with only seven interceptions as a senior... also rushed for 512 yards on 97 carries and scored five rushing touchdowns for STM in his senior season... guided STM to a 9-1 regular season mark as a senior, winning nine straight after a season-opening loss to Carencro... led the Cougars to three straight playoff wins, setting a school record for consecutive wins at 12... earned Class 4A All-State, 5-4A All-District and the Daily Advertiser's All-Parish and All-Acadiana honors at quarterback.
