Last year's starting quarterback is unlikely to play this year after having surgery on both shoulders. He has a redshirt year available after playing as a true freshman in 2006.

2007: Played in 10 games completing 88 of 163 passes for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns... rushed for 413 yards on 89 carries with seven TDs... tipped the 250 passing yard mark twice... racked up 333 all-purpose yards against Central Arkansas - the most by a Demon QB since Davon Vinson had 343 (269 passing vs. SFA in 2004... threw for 281 yards on 17 of 30 passing and two touchdowns against UCA, earning the SLC Offensive Player of the Week award... completed 22 of 30 passes for 250 yards with a touchdown at Ole Miss... ran for 122 yards with three tds on 11 carries against Henderson State.
2006: In the season finale, became the first true freshman to start at QB for the Demons since Brad Laird in 1991... completed 15 of 34 passes for 190 yards and two scores in six games... pass efficiency rating of 104.59... rushed for 174 yards on 41 carries for a 29.0 ypg rushing average... threw for 133 yard and two TDs in completing 10 for 21 against McNeese State while also rushing 15 times for 59 yards... had seven carries for 45 yards against Texas State with 30 yards passing and 43 yards rushing on 9 carries to go along with 27 yards passing at Ole Miss.
