Fayard had a strong spring, his best as a Demon, and challenged for the starting role. He grasped the new offense quickly and showed good leadership ability. He could hold for placekicks.

2007: Was called to duty in an emergency role at Nicholls State when Germayne Edmond and Drew Branch went down with injuries, completing 1 of 3 passes for 12 yards and an interception... ran the ball seven times for 11 yards... suffered shoulder injury on final play of first half and could not return to play … was awarded a medical redshirt.
Fayard in High School: All-State as a junior, All-Region as a senior and all-district for three seasons as he posted career totals of 6,781 yards and 101 touchdowns accounted for, including 4,939 yards passing and 54 touchdowns to go with 1,822 yards rushing and 47 touchdowns … changed high schools after Hurricane Katrina, playing his first two years at Northshore-Slidell, where he threw for 1,389 yards and 17 touchdowns and ran for 671 yards and 10 touchdowns … as a senior at Tylertown, he threw for 1,988 yards and 17 touchdowns on 102-203 aim and rushed for 712 yards and 19 touchdowns on 96 attempts (7.4 ypc) while helping THS to the second round of the state playoffs … is a junior, he accounted for 40 touchdowns (22 passing) and exactly 2,000 total yards (1,562 passing) … THS went 17-7 in his two seasons and made two playoff appearances … also lettered in basketball and baseball and is an honor roll student.
Fayard's Personal: Oct. 29, 1987... son of Jack and Terry Fayard... one brother, Jack, and two sisters, Jill and Kelsey... all siblings played college athletics while Jill played professional volleyball... majoring in business.
