2007 PRESEASON ALL-SLC 1ST TEAM
A veteran in the secondary with a knack for making big plays, Grogan opens as a starter at one cornerback slot but will have to face challenges from several newcomers to retain that No. 1 ranking. He had a good spring practice and showed improvement. He is a good cover corner who played two years ago as a true freshman.
2006: Played in all 11 games recording 35 tackles with 1.5 tackles for a loss... led the team with four interceptions and had eight pass breakups... picked off two passes while breaking up three against Texas State... season-high 6 tackles with an interception at Stephen F. Austin... had five stops with a half TFL against Arkansas-Monticello... four tackles and an interception against Sam Houston State.
2005: Played in seven games recording 22 tackles while breaking up five passes... had season highs of five tackles against Louisiana-Monroe and Nicholls State.
2004: Played in every game during the season... recorded 5 tackles and 1 interception... recorded fourth quarter interception against Texas State.
Grogan in High School: First-team 3A All-State for his 56 tackle, 11 interception, 3 interceptions returned for touchdowns performance his senior year... honorable mention 3A All-State... First-team All-Acadiana... honorable mention All-Acadiana... two-time first-team All-Parish... two-time first-team All-district... honorable mention All-Parish... honorable mention All-district... led football team to 23-3 record in his final two seasons with a 3A State Championship game appearance... four-year letterman in football and basketball... three-year letterman in track & field and baseball.
Grogan's Personal: 22 years old, born 12/10/84... son of Sally and Charles Grogan... mother is a nurse... father is a shipyard supervisor... has a sister, Chelsea (26)... is studying education so he can "help guide today's youth."
