A proven commodity at safety, Clark was a parttime starter last year who showed a knack for getting to the football and delivering big hits. He is a versatile player who provides key depth and gives the coaches options in the secondary.

2007:  In 10 games, tied for sixth on the team with 37 tackles... also broke up three passes... had a season-high nine stops at Northeastern (Sept. 15)... collected seven tackles against Central Arkansas (Sept. 8) and vs. Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 17).

Prior to NSU:  Earned first team All-League honors as a sophomore and honorable mention honors as a freshman at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. while playing safety... recorded 64 tackles and two interceptions his sophomore season and 62 tackels with four picks as a freshman.

Clark in High School:  Two-time first team All-District honors (junior and senior years) as a receiver for Mt. Spokane High... became the school’s all-time pass receiving leader his senior season.... earned second team All-District honors as a sophomore... team won city championship his senior season... also lettered in basketball and baseball.

Clark’s Personal:  24 years old, born 8/16/84... son of Gary and Christine Clark... three siblings, Joel (23), Jennifer (30), and Leann (27)... majoring in psychology... full name is Jesse Wayne Clark.
