A returning starter at nose tackle, Rodrigue is a standout academically and in football. His hard-nosed approach is a perfect fit for his position.

2007-08 Honors:  SLC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, Fall 2007... NSU Athletic Honor Roll, Silver (3.00-3.49) Fall 2007, Spring 2008.

2007:  Had 17 tackles while playing in all 11 games... also had 0.5 tackles for loss... had a season-high four stops at McNeese State and three tackles at Texas Tech.

2006:  Saw action in 10 games recording 21 tackles... had two pass break-ups and one fumble recovery... career-best 12 tackles against Arkansas-Monticello (Sept. 30)... recovered a fumble at Ole Miss (Nov. 4).

2005:  Redshirted.        

Rodrigue in High School:  Earned second-team All-District honros as a sophomore and junior... racked up 145 tackles in his career with 4.5 sacks... first-team All-District as a senior with 44 tackles and 2.5 sacks in just seven games... graduated with a 3.9667 gpa... lettered three years in football and track... honor graduate... Louisiana Class 5A Academic All-State... Principal’s List for seven semesters, honor roll one semester... highest gpa male athlete... Mr. Walker High.

Rodrigue's Personal:  21 years old, born 7/25/87... son of JoAnna Purvis and Rodney Rodrigue... father works for Gulf Coast Remodeling and mother is a teacher at Denham Springs HS... two brothers, Kyle (23) and Conner (5), and two sisters, Nicole Purvis (24) and Heather Purvis (21)... majoring in accounting... plans to become a CPA... was named Male Academic Freshman of the Year for 2005-06 and Male Academic Sophomore of the Year for 2006-07.
