2004: Got more meaningful playing time as the season developed...Three catches for 33 yards, with a long of 17 vs Texas State in a 44-7 Demon rout made his first career snag, a 10-yarder at Nicholls State...Caught a 6-yarder the next week at North Dakota State...His precise execution and relentless effort kept his stock rising throughout the season.

2003: Did not make a reception but saw action in several games and earned his first letter.

2002: Redshirted. Fall Athletic Honor Roll (Silver).

High school: Four-year letterman in basketball, lettered once in football and track...Honorable mention LSWA All-State 2A in basketball as a senior, made the LHSCA All-State (coaches) team, and was a two-time All-District selection...Made All-District in football with 55 catches for 905 yards as the team went 11-2, won the district title and reached the state quarterfinals...TCHS went 23-12 and won the basketball district crown in his senior year as he scored 18 points per game...He averaged 17 points as a junior and 12 as a sophomore...He had best marks of 6-2 in the high jump and 41-0 in the triple jump.

Personal: 21 years old, born 4/26/84...Son of Mary and Sonny Charpentier, both teachers...Father is head football coach and director of athletes at Teurlings Catholic HS...Father played for Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame coach Dick McCloskey at Hanson Memorial and was a two-sport letterman at Nicholls State...Has two brothers, Brandon (22) and Roch (18)...Brandon attends LSU and is in the Air Force Reserve...Full name is Dane Joseph Charpentier...Honor student in secondary education with plans to coach at the high school level.
