2005 Preseason All-SLC Second Team
Elusive back who will be the primary back for the Demons this fall. Will continue to move up the Demons' all-time lists with a solid senior performance.

Record Watch: After three seasons , Sampson ranks ninth all-time at NSU in career scoring and rushing attempts and 10th in rushing yards. He can break the scoring record with nine TDs (or eight TDs and two 2-point conversions)...He would need 250 carries to break that record, but a high finish on the career rushing list is within reach if he matches his career average of 728 yards rushing, which would move him into fifth place...An 872-yard season gets him up to second all-time...With 2,564 all-purpose yards, Sampson is poised to crack that career top 10 this fall.
2004: Moved into 9th in Demons all-time scoring with 66 points on the season...Was the second-leading rusher for the Demons for the third consecutive year with 678 yards and 11 TDs on 134 carries...An astounding 5.0 yards per carry and 1 TD per game average...Fourth-leading receiver for the Demons with 13 receptions for 85 yards...Bruising 12 carries for 59 yards and 3 TDs, of a 4.25, and the game-winning 20-yard TD, in 28-20 win over Jackson State...Followed that up with 10 carries, 99 yards, and TDs of 3 and 12 yards in domination of Texas Southern...9 carries for 106 yards, the sixth 100-yd game of his career, and a 3-yard TD in the home win over Appalachian State...10 runs for 43 yards and another TD, this one from 2-yards out, in win over McNeese State...18 carries, 71 yards and 3 receptions for 1 yard at North Dakota State...An impressive 11 carries, 86 yards, a 5-yard TD and 3 receptions for 43 yards against Nicholls State...44 yards and an 8-yard TD on 12 carries in win over Texas State...Seventh 100 yard performance of his career with 104 yards and a 7-yard TD on 22 carries in victory against Sam Houston State.
2003: Second-leading rusher again for the Demons with 712 yards and 7 TDs...Fifth-leading receiver with 11 catches for 115 yards...Rushed for 101 yards on 16 carries at Tulane...Ran for 121 yards on 11 carries, with TDs of 40, 1, and 13 yards against Oklahoma Panhandle...Had 103 yards on 14 attempts, including TDs of 4 and 1 yard, a week later against Southeastern Louisiana...Got 80 yards, including a 16 yard TD, on 17 carries at Sam Houston State...Led Demons in rushing in three games (Tulane, Oklahoma Panhandle, Sam Houston)...Missed last game vs Stephen F. Austin with a sprained shoulder.
2002: Ranked fifth in the SLC in rushing...Won conference Player of the Week award after a 157-yard rushing output against Southern, in just his second college game...Ran for 75 yards and a 23-yard TD against Elon...95 yards on 18 carries, including a 9-yard TD vs Southwestern Oklahoma...91 yards on 19 carries, including the game-winning 5-yard TD with 1:58 to go, in a regionally-televised 21-14 win at Nicholls State...118 yards on 18 carries, with a 3-yard TD, as Demons smacked Sam Houston 38-10...65 yards on 14 carries, and a 6-yard score, in win at Stephen F. Austin...Team's third-leading receiver with 16 catches.

High school: Lettered four years in football...Led team to 23 wins in his junior and senior seasons, including a 14-1 record and state runner-up finish his senior season...Named All-District his freshman through senior year...Also earned All-Metro and All-State honors his junior and senior seasons...Named MVP of his district and metro area for his senior season.
