2015 Season: Appeared in all 11 games, starting the last four … collected 40 tackles, sixth on the team and second in the linebacker corps … had 4.5 tackles for loss (second on team) and 2.5 sacks … posted three quarterback hurries … career-high seven tackles vs. Sam Houston State … posted six tackles vs. Incarnate Word … five against Central Arkansas and four each vs. Nicholls and Stephen F. Austin … 1.5 sacks against Abilene Christian and one against UL-Lafayette.
   
Prior to NSU: Played one season each at Fullerton College and Los Angeles Harbor College … at Harbor, led team in tackles with 70 en route to earning all-conference honors … recorded one sack, one forced fumble and one interception … had a pair of double-digit tackle games with a high of 11 … notched six tackles for loss … at Fullerton, played in 13 games and collected 35 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception.
   
High School: Played three seasons for Damon Cogdell at Miramar High School … team compiled a 30-9 record in his three seasons … was an all-county linebacker/defensive end and led Miramar in sacks … recorded 90 tackles in his final two seasons.
   
Personal: Son of Shawn and Darlisa Stephens …  born Nov. 24, 1994 … one sister Jazmine (18) … communication major with 3.0 GPA that wants to be a sports broadcaster … life’s ambition is to be the best man he can for his family.
