2016 Honorable Mention All-Southland Conference Kicker
2016 Season: Expected to handle placekicking role and impressed with punting in preseason camp, so became first Demon since 1992 to punt and kick … was honorable mention All-Southland as a kicker, going 73 percent on field goals, including six of eight from 40 yards or longer … nailed three 47-yarders … helped Demons kickoff unit hold opponents to an 18-yard average on returns, 30th nationally … with no punts blocked in 2016, NSU tied for national lead.
Before NSU: Made 9-of-15 field goals with a long of 41 as a sophomore at Blinn … connected on 21-of-27 extra points … averaged 40.8 yards per punt as a sophomore … scored more than 100 points in his two seasons as Blinn’s kicker … two-time dean’s list member.
High School: All-District performer that helped his team to two playoff appearances and a district championship in his final two seasons … member of academic all-state … lettered in soccer as well … first-team all-district punter and second-team kicker as a senior.
Personal: Son of Jim and Donna Piccione … father is an ER doctor, mother is a massage therapist … business administration major who aims to become a sports marketer.
