2015 Season: Appeared in 11 games and started the last five games … totaled 28 tackles, second best among defensive linemen … registered four tackles for loss including 1.5 sacks … accounted for six quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one safety … career-high 10 tackles against Abilene Christian (11/7), including half a sack and a blocked kick … safety came against Nicholls, also recovered two fumbles … recorded a sack against Incarnate Word, which caused a fumble … two tackles for loss against McNeese were part of five overall tackles.
 
2014 Season: Entered the season with a major role, but played only three games before a season-ending back injury … made four tackles in those three games, including two assists against Baylor … returned a fumble for a 9-yard touchdown against Southern.
2013 Season: Appeared in 11 games … team leader with 8.5 sacks for 43 yards … tallied 25 tackles including 18 solo on the year … his 11 tackles for loss ranked second on the team … broke through with 3.5 tackles for loss and a season-high five tackles against Langston … recorded fumble recovery against Southeastern Louisiana … notched two sacks for an 11-yard loss against Lamar, and two sacks for a loss of 16 yards against Langston … 1.5 sacks against Southern … recorded sacks against Nicholls, SLU and Central Arkansas … notched four tackles against Southern and McNeese State.
 
2012 Season: Redshirted.
 
High School: First team all-district and All-Northeast Louisiana (The News-Star) … Class 5A Academic All-State … led his team with 85 tackles and seven sacks … permanent team captain award … team finished 9-3, district runners-up and made a second-round appearance in the state playoffs … also played some tight end … lettered four years in football … member of the National Honor Society with a 3.7 GPA.
 
Personal: Son of Latanyia Marshall, a nurse … one brother, Jarvis Berry, Jr. (12), and a sister, Jarvisia Berry (17) … nickname is “J-Man”… born Aug. 16, 1994 … psychology major who aims to open a family counseling clinic.
