2015 Season: Appeared in four games … totaled six tackles … season-high four tackles in the opener vs. Southeastern (9/3) … intercepted a pass vs. Southeastern and returned it 12 yards … made other two tackles vs. Miss. State (9/19).
   
2014 Season: Squadsman.
   
2013 Season: Redshirted.
   
High School: A four-sport standout who was a first-team all-district quarterback and safety at West Sabine for coach Todd Stark … district MVP as a junior when he threw for 17 touchdowns and 1,472 yards on 77-of-152 aim, while running for 11 scores and 1,125 yards on 136 carries (8.3 average) … as a senior, threw for 14 touchdowns and 1,186 yards while rushing for 1,241 yards and 14 TDs … won Southeast Texas player of the week and Ford Tough player of the week awards … in track and field, was a regional qualifier in the triple jump, 200 meters, and on relays, including a state-meet qualifying 4x100 relay team … an all-district guard in basketball … also has four letters in baseball … helped West Sabine to district championships in his first two seasons of hoops, then a bi-district championship in his junior campaign … honorable mention all-district as a sophomore … ran on district and area champion 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams, with the 4x100  advancing to the state meet under coach Jonathan Jones.  
   
Personal: Son of Bobby and Elaine Lacey … his father is a lumber grader and his mother is a teacher … has two sisters, Christina Ward (25) and Tatyana Lacey (17) … born Dec. 27, 1994 … full name is Desmond Ta’mar Lacey … business administration major with a 3.2 GPA … student council vice president ... National Honor Society member who ranks seventh in his class with an average grade of 92.135 … also vice president of his class and an FCA member … nickname is “Dez.”
