2016 Spring: Had an interception and tackle for loss in Delaney Bowl.
   
2015 Season: Started eight of the last nine games after missing the first two games of the season … Jones missed those games because of an NCAA suspension related to academic eligibility (fell below required number of hours), but he remains in good academic standing overall … totaled 49 tackles and one interception … recovered two fumbles, including returning a fumble 95 yards for a touchdown against Lamar (10/17) … intercepted his only pass of the season vs. SFA … season-high nine tackles vs. Sam Houston State (11/14) … had five or more tackles in five games, including SFA (11/21) with five, Central Arkansas (9/26) with eight, Incarnate Word (10/3) with five, and Nicholls with seven … had two pass breakups.
   
2014 Season: Shifted to safety where he had a huge impact in 11 starts … third on the team with 76 tackles and tied for a team-best 7.5 tackles for loss … team-high five interceptions to go with four pass breakups, one forced fumble and one recovered fumble … career-high 13 tackles against McNeese State, adding 12 against Baylor and 10 against Stephen F. Austin … two interceptions against Louisiana Tech, the last one to set up the winning field goal … other interceptions came against Incarnate Word, Sam Houston State and Abilene Christian … made eight tackles against Sam Houston and seven each against La. Tech and Missouri State.
   
2013 Season: Started 12 games at linebacker for NSU… finished second on team in total tackles (73) and assisted tackles (34) … led the Demons in tackles for loss with 14 for 38 yards… season-high nine tackles at Cincinnati … forced fumbles in wins over Missouri State and Lamar … forced and recovered a fumble at Missouri State to set up a third-quarter touchdown and notched two or more tackles for loss three times, including trio of drops in the backfield against Stephen F. Austin and UAB … finished with eight tackles against Sam Houston… notched seven tackles against Missouri State and Lamar… collected six tackles against UAB, Nicholls, Central Arkansas and Stephen F. Austin.
   
2012 Season: Redshirted.
   
High School: Two-time all-district performer at Seven Lakes HS … earned first-team honors as a senior and named defensive MVP after picking off six passes … squad finished with a 6-4 record … had two interceptions as a junior and earned second-team all-district honors … was the junior varsity’s defensive MVP as a sophomore after he corralled two picks … had three interceptions as a freshman … also lettered in track.
   
Personal: Son of Timothy and Rovanna Jones … one sister, Dana Lagarde and brothers Timothy Jones and the late Demar Jones … Dana is an educator and owns her own child development center … kinesiology major who aspires to be a trainer after an NFL career … born June 21, 1994.
