Before NSU at Baylor - 2012 Season: Played in nine of 13 games as redshirt freshman in 2012, primarily on special teams... earned first collegiate letter... played from scrimmage as backup defensive back in two of nine games played... totaled four tackles on season... did not play in four of season’s first five games (coach’s decision), played each of final eight games... made collegiate debut in win over Sam Houston State in team’s second game, on special teams, had no stats... made career-first tackle, a solo stop vs. Iowa State, in team’s seventh game... saw career-first action from scrimmage and made season-high three tackles vs. Kansas in eighth game... played special teams in all subsequent games without recording stats... played in defensive backfield in Holiday Bowl win over No. 17 UCLA.

High School: All-purpose back from Lago Vista (Texas) High School... Played for head coach Alan Haire at LVHS... rated 62nd safety prospect nationally by ESPN.com and No. 66 by Scout.com... listed state’s No. 10 cornerback in Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Winter 2011 magazine... three-year varsity letterman played safety as well as running back, wide receiver and kick returner for Lago Vista... scored 30 touchdowns as senior at LVHS in 2010 (16 rushing, 12 receiving, one kick return and one punt return)... earned second-team all-state honors from Associated Press and named 2010 District 13-2A Most Valuable Player as running back after leading Lago Vista to 13-1 record and state semifinals... totaled 1,453 yards rushing and caught 25 passes for 624 yards as senior... as return man, totaled more than 1,000 career yards in kick and punt returns... made five interceptions... as junior in 2009, totaled 212 yards and three TDs rushing, 479 return yards with two TDs as well as 61 tackles and three interceptions defensively... named first-team All-District 25-2A at safety and helped Lago Vista to 7-3 mark and district championship... also star track athlete, broke four school track and field records as junior in 2010: 4x100, 4x400, long jump and triple jump.
