2013 Season: Sat out last year due to issues with NCAA eligibility related to transfer credits

Prior to NSU: Played in 39th Annual Mississippi Junior College All-Star Game … 10th in the nation in tackles (106, including 68 solos, fifth nationally) … had 3 sacks (-13), 3.5 more tackles for loss (-9), recovered two fumbles, forced one, and made an interception … helped Bobcats go 6-3 in 2012 and was voted team captain … as a freshman, made 22 tackles and forced a fumble for the Bobcats.

High School: at Wayne County HS, was a first-team All-State and All-District linebacker who made 98 tackles, eight sacks, three fumble recoveries and an interception as a senior, when he won the War Eagles’ Best Linebacker Award a season after earning the Best Defensive Lineman Award … played in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game as a senior … was a three-year all-conference player … led his team in tackles as a junior and senior … he won the War Eagle Award as a sophomore.

Personal: son of Charles Chapman, a judge, and wife Belinda … has two siblings … born 3/11/92 … interested in a college coaching career.
