2014 Season: Appeared in seven games and made his one tackle against Southeastern.
 
High School: All-district first team selection for a playoff team under coach Brad Villavaso … won third straight all-district honor with 31 catches, 415 yards, six touchdowns … helped 2012 football team to 11-2 record, state quarterfinals as he made 33 tackles, including eight for loss and six sacks  … made 43 tackles with six sacks as a sophomore … also lettered as a freshman in basketball, helping team to the playoffs … four-year letterman in football and baseball … as a senior batted .315 including five home runs and 35 RBIs while posting a 4-4 record and three saves on the mound … all-state as a junior, batted .453 with six home runs … posted a 7-1 pitching record with a 2.42 ERA … cracked three home runs, posted a 6-2 pitching record with a 3.21 ERA as a sophomore … two-time first-team all-district baseball player … honor roll student … 3.5 GPA.
 
Personal: Son of Chuck and Susan Hawthorne … father is a nurse anesthetist, mother is a registered nurse … one younger brother, Jackson (12) … his cousin, Jared Poche’, is a junior starting pitcher for the LSU baseball team … plans to become a petroleum engineer and has a 3.7 GPA … full name is Chase Harrison Hawthorne … born Sept. 7, 1995.
