2016 Southland Conference Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll
2016 Season: Started the first six games of the season and appeared in all 11 … made 18 tackles (eight solo) … had three tackles for loss, including one sack against Incarnate Word as part of two TFLs … other TFL came at Central Arkansas … had a career-high six tackles against Incarnate Word … added four tackles at Central Arkansas with two each against Baylor, Lamar and Stephen F. Austin.
2015 Season: Appeared in 10 games with one start … started at ULL (9/12) … totaled four tackles and two quarterback hurries … made one tackle against Southeastern (9/3), Central Arkansas (9/26), Miss. State (9/19) and McNeese (10/24).
2014 Season: Made three starts and appeared in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman … made 17 tackles, including two for loss and one-half sack … had a career-high five tackles against Baylor … made both tackles for loss against Abilene Christian … added two quarterback hurries.
2013 Season: Redshirted.
High School: All-District 5-3A tight end and safety for the Wolves … had 13 catches for 800 yards and four touchdowns, while making one interception, recovering a fumble, forcing a fumble and scoring two defensive touchdowns … was all-parish … Rayne’s 9-3 record carried them to a regional round playoff appearance under coach Curt Ware … a year earlier, the Wolves reached the 3A quarterfinals as Harmon had 15 catches for 400 yards and five TDs as he earned all-district and all-parish honors … four-year letterwinner in football and basketball, and has lettered in track and baseball.
Personal: Son of Dannie Harmon Sr. and Cheryl Harmon … has a younger brother, Darien (17), and three younger sisters Da’najah (9), Da’niah (8) and Da’vonni (3) … business administration graduate is now seeking a second degree in history… full name is Dannie Ray Harmon Jr. … born Nov. 8, 1994 … nickname is “DJ.”
