2016 SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE COMMISSIONER’S FALL HONOR ROLL
2016 Season: A nominee for Academic All-Southland with a 3.1 GPA, Chan-Chan led the Demons in receiving with 32 catches, 614 yards and six touchdown catches … his 19.19 average per reception ranked 13th nationally … started all 10 games he played … his 182-yard performance in the season-finale at Stephen F. Austin is the 10th-best single-game receiving total in school history … compiled that yardage on eight catches, also a career best … included touchdowns of 72 and 22 yards …it was his second straight 100-yard game, on the heels of 120 yards on just three catches vs. No. 1-ranked Sam Houston … had a 79-yard TD five minutes into play from J.D. Almond … led Demons with three catches for 56 yards, a 34-yard TD among them, at Southeastern … seven snags for 90 yards at McNeese, including a 7-yard score … four for 84 yards vs. Nicholls featured a 56-yard TD.
2016 Spring: Orange Team MVP of Delaney Bowl … caught a 5-yard touchdown pass … led all receivers with five catches for 65 yards.
2015 Season: Caught 15 passes for 217 yards … appeared in 10 games as a sophomore … top games came against Central Arkansas (3-76), Stephen F. Austin (3-59) and McNeese (4-36).
2014 Season: Redshirted.
Prior to NSU: Played receiver at NAIA member Georgetown College (Ky.) as a freshman in 2013 … caught 25 passes for 345 yards and a touchdown … returned three kickoffs for 100 yards, including a long of 64 … in track, part of Georgetown’s 4X100 relay school record holders.
High School: First-team all-district performer as a junior and a senior … team MVP and team captain as a senior with 670 yards on 53 catches and nine touchdowns … lettered one season in track and two seasons in football … coached by Greg McCraig in football and Bill Vacek in track … graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
Personal: Son of Targen Zarlee … mother is a nurse … one brother Benjamin (8) … business administration major with a concentration in finance who aspires to play professional football … 3.8 GPA who made the Dean’s List … full name is Bobby Samuel Chan-Chan … nickname is “2 Chans” … born Dec. 12, 1994.
