2008 Season

Hit .303 with 25 runs batted in after playing in 51 games with 45 starts... second on the team with 15 stolen bases in 18 attempts... had seven doubles, a triple and scored 34 runs... had 13 multiple-hit games... recorded a 4-hit game at Tulane (Mar. 12) going 4 for 6 with two runs scored... three games with three hits... went 4 for 7 with a RBI and two runs scored in a two-game series at nationally ranked Ole Miss... had a season-high 12 game hitting streak from Apr. 29 to May 21... tied a school record with four runs scored at Nicholls (Apr. 19) and tied a school record with three stolen bases in a game against Grambling (Feb. 23).

Before NSU

Hit .420 as a sophomore at Odessa College... had three home runs, three triples, 15 doubles, 40 runs batted in and 13 stolen bases as his team finished 35-20 with a regional appearance in the postseason... hit .300 as a freshman... played for Brian Blessie and teammates with Clayton Cooper and J.C. Bredengerd.

High School

Earned first team All-District honors in baseball and football as a senior... hit .400 as a senior as his squad finished 28-10, ranked 8th in the state, and won the district championship... lettered three years in baseball and three in football... earned first team Academic All-State Football honors.

Personal

Born Nov. 27, 1986... son of Gerald and Debra Nipp... father is a teacher and mother an accountant... one brother, Justin and a sister, Haylee... majoring in biology and plans to go into physical therapy... had a 4.0 grade point average all four semesters at Odessa College.
