Northwestern State University of Louisana

Made eight appearances and compiled a 0-0 record with a 5.06 ERA… tossed 16.0 innings and struck out seven batters… held left-handed batters to a .231 average… had a career-best four strikeouts in four innings against Louisiana Tech on Feb. 25 where he gave up one run and just two hits.

2008 Season

Received a medical redshirt after he appeared in just one game. 

Before NSU

An All-Conference and All-Region pitcher for Eastfield College... compiled a 15-5 two-year record with 147 strikeouts in 142.2 innings pitched... went 8-2 as a sophomore with a 3.30 ERA, 96 strikeouts in 92.2 innings pitched... helped his team to the NJCAA Division III World Series championship as a freshman after going 7-3 with a 4.68 ERA and had 51 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched... team finished 44-17 and ranked No. 1 in the polls the entire season... played for Mike Martin and teammate of Ryan Campbell and Tommy Rozell. 

High School

Earned All-District honors as a senior at Kempner High School... had a 4-5 record and 2.92 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 52.2 innings pitched... had a 2-0 record as a junior with a 1.00 ERA in 16 appearances... lettered two seasons in baseball and two in soccer... earned the Academic Excellence Award as a senior.

Born Dec. 6, 1986... son of Ruben and Kathy Ocampo... one brother, Nico and a sister, Jenny... received his bachelor's degree in 2009... nickname is “O.C.”
