First team all-district and second team all-state honors as a senior after hitting .410 with five home runs, helping his team to a 41-7 record… earned second team all-district honors as a junior while hitting .370 with four home runs with team finishing 38-9… hit .320 with one home run as a sophomore and picked up all-district honorable mention honors with his team finishing 40-7… also lettered three years in football, helping his team to a combined 35-7 record… graduated with a 3.65 gpa… played for Ken Roebuck in baseball and Jim Hightower in football.
