Hit .303 as a sophomore at Hutchinson CC in Hutchinson, Kansas, helping his team to a 41-15 record… as a freshman, hit .310 as hit team finished 30-26.

High School

As a catcher, earned All-District, All-State, All-CENLA, Academic All-State, and earned district MVP honors his senior season… also an All-State linebacker and state runner-up in the discus throw… All-State, All-CENLA, All-District and district co-MVP his junior year… All-State, All-District and All-CENLA as a first baseman in sophomore season… All-District first baseman as a freshman… lettered four years in baseball and three in football and track… Student Council President… graduated with a 3.4 gpa.

Son of Frank and Lisa Yerby… father is a retired U.S. Forest Ranger… born Aug. 3, 1987… two brothers, Christopher and Jonathan… Christopher played one season of baseball at LSU-Shreveport… Jonathan is a senior third baseman for Central Arkansas… majoring in psychology and plans to go to graduate school.
