Biography

Prior to NSU:  Transferred in from Texarkana College after a stint at Louisiana-Lafayette… went 5-1 with a 2.04 ERA and struckout 64 batters in 65.1 innings pitched… earned first team all-conference honors… he can throw three pitches for strikes at any time.

Lackie in High School:  Earned first team all-district honors in 2006, 2007, and 2008 at McKinney HS in McKinney, Texas… played in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star game and on Team Texas Sunbelt Champions in 2008… coached by Jim Gatewood… graduated with a 3.3 gpa.

Lackie Personal:  Born March 14, 1990… son of Jeff and Shelley Lackie… one brother, Mark (12) and a sister, Megan (22)… majoring in general studies and plans to play pro ball… father was selected by the Baltimore Orioles as the 24th pick in the third round of the 1981 Major League Baseball Draft… full name is Matthew Michael Lackie… married his wife, Maggie, on Aug. 7, 2010.
