A remarkable comeback story as Meyer missed the entire 2010 season after he suffered a broken neck in a car wreck in the summer of 2009. He is expected to be the starting third baseman for the Demons this season.

2009 Season
Played in all but one game, starting all 50… hit .296 with a home run and 22 RBIs… tied for first on the team with two triples and led the squad with four sacrifice bunts… second with 14 stolen bases and fifth with 55 hits… started the season with a 7-game hitting streak and ended it on an 11-game streak… had a career-high of three hits in five different games and a career-best of three RBIs three times… had a 2 for 4 game with three RBIs, two runs scored, and a school record-tying three stolen bases against Grambling on Feb. 24.
Prior to NSU
Earned All-Conference honorable mention honors and TNMJCCA All-Star status after hitting .291 as a freshman for Wharton Junior College… hit .321 as a sophomore in helping his team to a 30-15 record and a spot in the regional finals… named to the Dean's List with a 3.15 gpa.
High School
As a senior, earned first team all-district honors, Austin Area All-Star, CenTex All-Star, and All-CenTex Team after hitting .315… all-district honorable mention as a junior after hitting .289… in his four years, teams combined to go 105-36 with a district championship and state finalist appearance his freshman season… graduated with a 4.3 gpa… member of the National Honor Society, FCA, and Around the Rock… lettered in baseball, football and hockey.
