High School: Led Saugus High to four consecutive CIF Division I playoffs including a High Desert (Division I) championship, back-to-back top 10 finishes in the Bullhead Tournament of Champions out of the 150 participating teams, a career-best, 24-6 record and a No.14 national ranking in her senior season….Shier is coming off an impressive 2011 season where she had a .381 batting average with 32 hits, 27 RBIs, six doubles and home runs…during that same senior campaign, she earned a flawless fielding percentage (1.000), .631 in slugging……as a junior, she had a .412 batting average and collected a .412 on base percentage, .471 in slugging and a Foothill League first-place tie for fielding percentage with a perfect 1.000 and a perfect batting average throughout the CIF playoffs….Sara also earned the team's 2009 Best Hit of the Season Award and 2008 Offensive Player of the Year…..served as the Equestrian Club vice-president, junior umpire at the Hart sporting complex, and Saugus News Network producer…was a member of the Varsity Club….graduated in 2011 as a four-year scholar athlete with a 3.5 G.P.A…..a part of the 2006 ASA National Championship team…..played the last two summers with the Firecrackers 18 Gold.  

Personal: Born Sara Renee Shier on May 15, 1993…..daughter of David and Leah Shier….father is a business owner and mother works as an accountant….has one brother, David (13)….nicknames: “Moose”, “Duckie”, “Shi-Shi” and “Shier”…..majoring in business….interned at Old River Farms…..plans to become an A&R coordinator for Warner Bros. Records after graduation….her life’s ambition is to die happy with no regrets.
